How to Search Court Records
Boone County offers two main ways to search current court records online. For all cases filed since August 1993, you can use the judici.com database. This covers domestic relations, civil, and criminal matters and is searchable by name, case number, or date. For older cases filed before August 1993, you must visit the courthouse in person to search indexes, physical files, or microfilm.
The Boone County e-filing portal is available to attorneys for electronic submission of domestic relations and other circuit court documents.
The statewide CourtConnect portal at caseinfo.arcourts.gov also provides access to Boone County records. Under Administrative Order 8, all circuit courts in Arkansas report case data to this system, and Boone County is included. Use CourtConnect for quick name or case number searches.
If you need staff to conduct a record search on your behalf, the clerk's office offers a paid search service. You must submit a written request, specify the years and names to be searched, include a $6 fee per name per year, prepay copy costs, and include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Allow four to six weeks for results on staff-conducted searches.
The Boone County Circuit Clerk posts family court schedules and updates for domestic relations hearings on the official website.
Family Court Case Types
The domestic relations division of Boone County Circuit Court handles all family law matters for Harrison and the rest of the county. Divorce cases are governed by Arkansas Code Annotated § 9-12-301. Parties can file on fault-based grounds or on the basis of eighteen months of continuous separation. Most current filings use the separation ground.
Custody and visitation cases are decided under § 9-13-101. Arkansas courts use a best interest of the child standard. Judges look at each parent's history with the child, the stability of each home, and any factors that might affect the child's well-being. Parents can also agree on custody arrangements, which the court will typically approve if the terms are in the child's interest.
Child support follows the income shares guidelines under § 9-14-107. Both parents' incomes are combined to determine a base support amount, which is then apportioned based on each parent's share of the total. Deviations from the guidelines are allowed when special circumstances exist. The Circuit Clerk manages the child support registry and payment processing.
Juvenile court in Boone County handles dependency-neglect, abuse, and delinquency cases under § 9-27-309. These records are not public. Adoption records are sealed under § 9-9-217. Both types of records require a court order for access. Probate matters and guardianship of minors are also handled through the circuit court system.
Fees and Copy Costs
Standard filing fees in Boone County follow the state schedule. A new domestic relations case costs $165.00. Family court matters like child support hearings carry a base fee of $85 plus service fees. Reopening a case costs $50.00. Service by summons or subpoena runs $2.50 per person.
Copy fees are $0.50 per page for standard copies. Certified copies cost $5.00 per document. If you use the staff search service, the fee is $6 per name per year searched plus copy costs. All fees should be prepaid when submitting written records requests.
The fee schedule is updated periodically. The current schedule was updated as of December 12, 2025. Check the clerk's website or call (870) 741-5560 to confirm current rates before submitting payment.
